| I will start the ball rolling this week as we basket on a Thursday now. (A pain I know, but ...)
We have TWO races again this week:-
First Real Young Bird Race - from Nort-sur-Erdre
Old Bird Race from Poitiers
If the wind stays in the same direction, it should be a good race as the wind will be on their noses (Or 'On the Beak' as they say here)
Yesterday, we took our y/b's to very near the lib point for Saturday's race - it is 97 km (or about 63 miles) and with a strong-ish wind in their faces, 18 out of 22 birds made it back in 93 mins. Which I think is OK as they had never been there before. The other 4 came about 5 mins later, in bits and bobs.
What about you guys - what are you up to?

| We're at Wetherby this week but it looks like it will be a holdover to me. I've been on holiday, my mates looked after them. So I don't expect anything from them this week, but trained the hens 24 miles yesterday and the cocks 21 miles today as a livener. |
