We have just arrived back from doing our club's results:-

We were 4th Club with the Old Birds - and 2nd Club with our Young Birds.

Two of our members never got ANY birds back and they sent 13 and 15 birds each. And most of our members had birds missing.

We have 6 old birds and 6 y/b's still not accounted for. A bit crap all round.

We will not be sending any next week at all.

BUT - a good thing came out of today - came home with 400 smacker-roonies. We sold four pigeons to a fellow member.

All the best to anyone that sent.

Phil

Thanks buddy - 2 more hen turned up just now - not sure if they were together, but they seem OK but tired!

Yes - re selling a few birds - I could do with selling some more before we come back to the UK.

As long as we have the original breeders and the best 8 or 10 birds from this year, I recon that will do us. We are probably going to have to start again (again) when we find somewhere to buy in the South West of England.

Watch-out I will want to be visiting you as soon as I can.

Thank you David - yes we seem to be doing OK especially when you think that we only have yearlings and they never saw a racing basket until this year.

What a terrible situation to be in Mr Oz - having good quality pigeons that you can't use for whatever reason!

I think if Rota hit Europe the whole racing pigeon world would collapse.

All the VERY best buddy.

Maybe not Phil  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes "Collapse" Wink Wink My mate ??? "Dr Spock" has just come up with a magic potion of sorts down here Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad to put in your water etc "1st grade pigeon sh**e". Guaranteed Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes by the results of the lofts used as guinea pigs in a trail as such Wink Wink that anything from 5% to 50% odd could be the final out come in losses. One poor soul Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad  struck it lucky "not" & finished up with near 90% losses, when he put the magic potion in his birds water sadly.  cheers
