| What are you guys up to this weekend?
Basketing for us tonight (Thursday)
We have two races this weekend from the same place - One for Old birds and One for young-uns.
Don't ask me why - I can't fathom out the brains of these fronglanders.
The race is from Cholet, which we have been to a few times with old birds, but this weekend, we have a separate race for young birds from the same place.
It is 130 miles for us, and I am not sure about sending a few of our young birds. We only have 15 y/b's left but we can't take them all back to the UK when we go at the end of October, so maybe I will try some.
What do you guys think?

| I'm afraid your a bit late with your advice guys - we basket on a Thursday night around 17:00 hours local time - 4 in the afternoon your time.
Anyway we sent 5 young birds and 4 yearling cocks. All our yearlings are down on eggs for the last few races.
We are looking forward to a great race tomorrow and top results.
All the very best to everyone.

| Our birds, 4 yearlings and 5 young birds, were liberated from Cholet at 11.30 this morning. 130 miles.
Clear blue skies with very high alto-cirrus clouds. The birds have been flying for just 1 hour and it is already 29 degrees Celsius.
We are really trusting for a great one today. This might be our last race for 2017.
Will keep you posted.

| Well we got all our birds back today - in fact we did better than that -
We sent 9 birds to the race - 5 young birds and 4 yearling cocks.
We got all the cocks back in a reasonable time - but not in a record beating time.
But we got 6 young birds back and we only sent 5. One 3rd rounder returned from a training toss we had on Tuesday.
It weighs about 3 ounces and is like a rail - but it found its way back on its own and for a later bred young bird, I think that is OK.
By five p.m. local time - it was 31 degrees C.
How are the rest of our members getting on?
Phil
