| Went with Bill & Ken yesterday to new H/Q, to view what they had achieved, also to unload the panniers and get them ready for first race, which is on the 10th, (training race) ... Good job I was there, talk about chuckle brothers, ... They both made a template of a carboard for fitting in the bottom of the pannier, (instead of shavings) Ken was working off the template, but found it was to short, after investigating, I told him to turn it round, which was a good fit ... Bill couldnt seal the panniers, kept getting his string in a knot and dropping the seals, said it was because he had no glasses, When all done they stood back to admire their work, and, 'LO and Behold' they had forgotten to put the cardboard in the panniers we had to start again, this is when we realised ken had cut the cardboard 4ins to big, of course he blamed it on the scissors ... Oh what a day, all for the love of pigeons ... BUT they have done a lovely job! ..... Pat .... |
