| Some of you may remember a while back I posted that I have spent a very long time trying to buy some Ad Schaerlaeckens pigeons and at last I had found some. I thought I was buying the FOUR birds Directly from Ad - but it turned out I was actually buying them through an agent - Jan de Wijs (surname pronounced Vice) the owner of Europigeons.nl PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY PIGEONS FROM THIS MAN! He is a liar, a thief, a cheat, a con-man and a total FRAUD. He has robbed me of thousands of pounds and I have ended up with a load of crap. I bought two hens and two cocks - but when the birds arrived after 9 weeks delay and looked at the pedigrees - I had been sent THREE cocks and only one hen. All the birds were is such a bad condition that NONE of the birds can fly, the hen had all its tail feathers either cut or broken, one of the other birds had all the primary flights on one wing chewed up. See attached images. I was charged DOUBLE the advertised price for one bird and if one reads the pedigrees, even though the two Ad Schaerlaeckens birds I paid for do have some Ad blood in them, it is way back in the birds' family tree. If you go to Facebook and type Europigeons Complaints page, you will see that this little shit has conned LOTS of people all around the world. Google Jan de Wijs and you will also see lots of people with big grievances against this slimy little creep. Our Darren pointed out that the inserted Eye sign image did not match the real bird's eye. When I received the bird, that was true. The bird's real eyes were nothing like the image in the advert. I was an idiot - I should have done more research before parting with my money - but let this be a lesson for you all - Don't give any money to Europigeons.nl Phil |

| Yes Darren, I agree - putting it down to experience is the only thing I can do. It the loss of all that money that gets me. We are not rich and we need every penny we have for the new house, lofts and the move.
I guess being out here in frogland doesn't help either, no one to buy birds from out here.
Cheers
Phil |

| I am trying my best to do something and to stop this man.
I have contacted the Dutch Fraud help-desk - but the problem is I am not Dutch and do not live in the Netherlands - even though the person that robbed me is Dutch.
The Dutch authorities told me to contact the French fraud lot, but again - I think I might be on a hiding to nowhere as I am not French either. Maybe the UK lot can help me, but I think they might say 'contact the French because you live in France.
I am going to speak to the British homing world and the RP and see if they will print my sorry tail, to warn others about this charlatan.
As I said before - he has ripped off people all around the world, UK included.
Watch this space for further news.

| Hi Phil. Sorry you got scammed. You are right, I pays to research. Friend of mine, now deceased, was a champion for years over here. Every year or so he imported birds from Europe. He was going to buy off one Belgian guy but checked his records first. He was fluent in many languages. He called the guy and said you are advertising pigeons as first second etc but cannot see your results on he sheets. Guy told him eventually the were birds that were first etc “to his loft”. Unfortunately, class action or whatever, the guy has probably made his money. Personally, I cannot relate to spending vast sums on pigeons. Never had the cash. But have been tempted! Mine I bought at a reasonable price. 10 young birds for $200 off Tom Mackewecki over ten years ago. Plus shipping. Gallez Janssens. He still imports from US and Europe. Crosses a lot. More blues than reds now. Still wins ace pigeon awards etc,. Late breds from him he told me I could have for $50 each. Out of $700 and $1000 birds. Tempted!! Or can go the other route. Eliminate a bunch and line breed to the original birds from him. Mostly red. From winners anyway. I would love to buy a bird that could more or less breed me winners. Unfortunately, no guarantees. |
