Had a guy call in tonight. Farmer, small acreage. Looking to buy pigeons. Gave him some last year. Apparently he had chickens also. Quite a few. Free range. Weasel and fox got all his chickens. Most of the pigeons I gave him are still there. He did buy tumblers early this year. Hawks got them all. Asked me if I would sell him some. Said no, free, have to get rid of a few anyway. Will have to sort through them. Noticed a large round bale of hay in his pick up. Asked him if he had small bales. Hay or straw. Asked how many I needed. Said two straw. Deal done. Birds for straw. So, culling. Can come up with 10 or more. Fair trade. Ideal for me. Bedding for winter taken care of. Have to bite the bullet and cull heavily. Couple of sleepless nights ahead.

All traps empty this morning. No damage. Culling. Back to the old way. No performance, no perch. Simplifies it.

Another day and no critters trapped. Culling is progressing. White stray one is in the bunch. Another stray I was told to keep by the owner last year, Red Fox Jansen. Have ten so far to go. assume by Sunday there will be more.

Son was here today. He shipped 68000 pigs last year. Wanted to see the mastiffs. Came from him.
