| Good Morning guys
Firstly - WHY would you want to buy the forum's bird back - it hasn't done much good really.
If it was bought back - who would have it and what would you do with it? breed from it - Why?
Next - I posted some weeks ago about our forum doing more One Loft Races and getting more involved.
At that time - I said I would be prepared to breed from my very best birds and donate some to the forum for One Loft Racing - if members thought that was a good idea.
I have birds here with proven race records and proven pedigrees, if anyone is interested in pedigrees. To me the most important thing is "How has the pigeon raced, what prizes has it won or how many winners have a couple bred"
Apart from one race when our birds were sick - we have never come lower than 4th in any race, and have had some amazing results, beating people like one of the French National Champions TWICE. I am NOT saying this to show off, because I am not like that, but just to show the kind of birds we have and what they have done in their FIRST year of racing.
I am sure I am not the only member with top class birds - I know for sure Ray and Bro, must have some amazing birds. As many of you guys must have.
I am sure we can find at least 6 or 10 top quality young birds to send to 1 loft races, but maybe it's the entry fees that might be the sticking point.
What do you all say?
Phil |

| hi phil, regards the syndicate pigeon who came 81st in the final, personally I think the pigeon did pretty well when you consider it went to every race and was clocked roughly in the top 1/3 on most of the races......ive been looking at the results and the fanciers who always seem to do well in one loft racing, and come to the conclusion these birds are purposely bred from certain blood lines, pigeons which may have been tried and tested in one lofts and bought after the final as a base to breed from, alternatively they are bred from tried and tested pigeons over years of success on hard days and pigeons which have proven them selfs.......they are not, I would imagine, bred from birds who took a fluky card on an easy day, the fanciers who took the first 3 places in the final knew exactly the type of pigeon they were entering, and exactly what they were doing, in my opinion anyway....
as for a syndicate in 2018, I am all for it, but as for me breeding birds, I wont put myself forward as I doubt very much van reets would be any good for one loft racing, janssens, maybe....but im sure members have far better tried and tested birds than any I have.
I think it would be a great idea for us to race ybs members have bred, it would add a bit more interest and excitement I think, plus I wouldn't dismiss the idea of a couple more tumley birds along with our "home bred birds", but it all depends on the cost and the number of members involved. |

| If you follow this link, you will find all about the French Young Bird Derby. It is run by two English people who have been doing his for many years. I know them to speak to and they seem quite clued up. http://www.frenchyoungbirdderby.com/rulesregs.shtmlWorth considering I think for next year - quite cheap in the long run. Phil |

£110 per bird...........a massive thanks to Jamie for supplying the birds free of charge I don't think he would have intentionally wanted to finish 81st and to pooh on the birds finish and what Jamie supplied for us would be very wrong ,I have no doubt Jamie would have sent birds with the intention to do well ...I am sure we have many members who would like to put birds forward but its choosing who we use and a fair way to do it...tumley have looked after us last 2 seasons so a big thanks from me anyway for what Jamie has done |

Phil Phil the person who runs it is John McGee and his wife are brilliant flyers John is a former NFC Pau National winner plus Ford Fiesta Car and his old family off Janssens were machines and if you could beat John you could guarantee being in the first 3 |

| Yes totally agree he has been great for the site, definitely but there's nothing wrong with exploring different avenues ..if they are prepared to do it again next season that's great but we could still do other one loft races and why not because it's the future of pigeon racing anyway...plus it's great for the site to stick together in our syndicate |

| Good post Ray. Obviously I cannot send a pigeon. What I can do is either sponsor a pigeon or pay a share in a pigeon. Question is, who will supply the pigeon? Forum consensus or? Maybe more than one pigeon? What scenario do you folks have in mind? The French one Phil put up looks interesting but up to the Forum members. |

| personally I was quite happy with tumleys birds, maybe they would donate again next season....also it would be nice to enter maybe a couple or so birds from members, we have some very good results off a few of our members this season, maybe they would be willing to supply a bird or two. |

| Just an observation. One loft races bring together a bunch of pigeons from many different lofts. Also a multitude of bugs, viruses etc,. So any bird entered should be off birds that were never sick. Have immunity to the common ailments. |

| They must be a strain of good trappers. It's no good coming home in a batch of 300 and sitting on the loft. I've got a hen that always runs straight into the loft firstvfrom training, and a little hen I bought from Tumleys that sits on the trap waiting for all the others to go in first. |
