PostSubject: This is my loft   Thu Dec 28, 2017 8:28 pm

This is the start of my loft 2015, i am a paint & decorator, started digging in March on weekends and any time i finished early from work, so i measured the gap were the loft was going and i could get a 14 x 6 foot loft. Then i got some ply sheets and 4 x 2 timber from a friend. This is what it looked like in April.

I weaned the young birds in mid April and were kept in panniers, while i was finishing the loft after work. This is what the loft looked like in June 2015

Very nice chuda is that the stock section on the end a good idea bringing the front out to give you more room and I like the wire platform easy cleaning

Was the roof easy to do where it joins at right angles between the long and short sections? And is the ventilation only from back and front roof overhangs? This is pretty much how I would have mine, just short section to the right in my case. You made a nice job of that.

Put a beam from the back corner to the front, then put 3/4 ply and finished the roof with torch on felt.
Ventilation is at the back of the loft and the left side and the front overhang.

any info on what it was you used to treat it with, I cant get my loft up until it treat it first........I made it in log lap t&g so don't want to spoil it by painting/colouring it....want to see the wood.

ah right, so both are "painted on" with a brush or roller.....are they oil based like a varnish...?

I know dulux weathershield is good stuff,
