Use of redcell

Any members using or used redcell multivitamins for their birds its originally for horses I put one tea spoon to a kilo of corn or a litre of water birds seem to absorb it better on the corn and it dries very quickly and goes a long way

I once used it a couple of years ago mark, cant say it was good or not to be honest ....I never saw an difference in the birds health, but I suppose its like anything else, people get used to a certain product and if they race well on it they stick with it.

I was thinking of trying it but I dont like paying for a lable with a pigeon on it...
dont mind horse pictures though

I thought it was full of iron so helped the red blood cells carry more oxygen. I could be wrong though it has been known!
Tried it few years ago on the Mark Caldwell system don't know if it helps or not but I do know I win more now than I did then.

I've used redcell for years. Not on pigeons ofcourse, but I did use it rehabing birds. I use it twice a week on my birds now. I add enough to the barley or corn to coat very, very lightly. Droppings are fine, but definitely darker. As far as effectiveness? ...I don't know?

Rusty nails in the water used to be then norm.

True . Bit expensive for most thou these days Hal . Never used Red Cell etc but seen enough reports that it has some merit I would suggest. For me more an owner thing that brings on that feel good type moment .

I can still remember late 60s some old fanciers stilll used rusty nails and hinges in the drinker and a handful of burnt soil in a tray....
During ww11 some fed a mash as corn was rationed tough times

yeah iron it turned the water a light brownish rust colour...dunno if it was any good

just seen another red cell made by frazers procell+ £7.50 Ltr
10ml to 1Ltr or 1Kg of corn

just ordered 2Ltr £15 plus £5 p&p cheap enough but only time will tell if it improves anything.

I think the vita pre/pro combi is pretty good stuff, cheap too........5ml per gallon.

I havent broke the news to the mrs yet on her latest purchase,shes in another room watching tv,im in my office (aka spare bedroom) better try a few s first

best make your self cosy, looks like you may be in that spare bedroom for a while f/walker..............

Think the pre-pro combi is good as it is soluble and easy to use.

Have not been able to get it lately so am using provit with yoghurt, seeing this post makes me think red cell and /or eqivalent would be a good carrier for the provit granules.

May even try it when racing, any thing that enhances oxygen levels can only be good.

If you doubt me ask professional cyclists

The procell+ is made for pigeons and its cheaper than the horse one I was looking at per ltr

Yogurt OK Caramel Kefir is much better 100 billion good little buggers   in every serve etc.

Didn't kill them so I suspect that was a benefit etc .

yes I`ve used primalac, seemed ok if used regularly , quite expensive tho` think one I got was around £40 - £45, altho` I have seen different brands cheaper, but if its the same or not I don't know.


I`ve also used a product called magic, similar type of thing but a fraction of the price, just as good by what I seen.

primalac star labs ...good product but not sold locally so use magic by stock nutrition ,and pellets for vitamins and minerals in the form of g10s have tried most lol these seem to work well here

Frazers sell it on ebay £15 300g

Mark, I don't which route you have taken, but redcell comes in pellets now. I bought a tub this weekend.
