Hopefully they will lay in the nests. All the hay I had put in the bowls is all over the place. How long after they breed do they build their nests?

I always get pigeons laying on the floor rom, it does no harm, and have had some nice healthy ybs reared this way, plus they tend to learn to eat quicker along with the older birds, also they tend not to get scalped.......I never bother, but you could just lean a piece of board up against the wall to give them a little bit of privacy ......if you feel they need it, its quick and easy.

Thanks David. I just checked on them. Most pairs are sitting in the nest bowls together this morning.(sort of). They seem much calmer this morning

Good. When I stand outside the loft it sounds like they were banging dowels around. Don't know how a 1lb bird could make so much noise. Dont get me wrong It is the sound of progress. Heck, I'm glad I don't have to throw in some naughty magazines. pig
