| hi do any one do the roundabout,? if i am racing cocks and hens on this system cocks on sat and hens on wed mid week club.do i let the cocks and hens together on return or just let them see each other through the nest boxes

| i think its similar to widowhood just a few minutes, after training/racing, but im not 100% sure, trying it myself next year |

mark, i think wether you just let them see each other or leave them together for a while is up to you.....as with standard widowood all fanciers have different methods to motivate the birds before basketing......some let them together for time before basketing to tread the hens etc, whereas we would have the hen in the nestbox and when we let the cock into her we would pick him up so they couldnt mate....so like i say everyone has different ideas on this sort of thing..............  |
