All one needs is pedigrees of some well known winners. Get some garbage young birds. Then sell on the basis of GGparents acomplishements. Oh yes. Use a Belgian name. Seems to be a new strain eery day. Always European in origin. Mass advertising and Auctions. Get the name out. In my opinion, fanciers nowadays have the birds equal to the superstars. No matter the origin. If a flier is lazy his birds are lazy. regardless of pedigree. I an guilty of that some years. But as always people look to up there results and buy pigeons that they think they will improve their results. There will always be buyers and sellers and false advertising. Usually not hard to sort the wheat fom the chaff. Due diligence.

I buy birds just by going of their pedigrees yes but I also buy birds off winning fanciers without pedigrees, the latter most of the time the best but I have also had good birds off just going off their pedigrees. To be honest in my opinion it's a lot down to luck getting the right ones most of the time . But for me that's what it's all about , if I waste my money that fair enough but I still love racing allsorts
