Weather today

Thin layer of ice on race loft drinker but stock loft ok.
Scraped platform so as not to drag snow n ice in the lofts.
Still a few light showers but nowt that the hardy geordies
Cant handle....

Birds feeding young will eat snow. Takes a lot out of the parents that way though. I have heated waterers, now unplugged. Any one try ACV in the water? Should not freeze as fast.

Speaking of being a Geordie type FW rang my Geordie mate last night here       to have a good        together etc      . The Sunderland issue unfortunately, I'm is looking rather grim, grim I would suggest.

First day of Autumn here O/S & we have had a real winter chill blow through here compared to yesterday etc Dropped 10 degrees over night & now down to 22C I'm  .

minus 4 feels colder, powdery snow falling blizzard at times....lovely morning
allotment tap frozen,scared to thaw it incase i tom duck it.
back in the house refilling watering cans....hey ho.....
Ra (dog) wants a snowball fight......

Loft chores all done...for an hour or 2...just keep checking drinkers..
Still snow flurries...looks of trouble on A19 and A1M side a country roads worse....
And everything stops for tea...

yeah same here -4, near miss this morning must of drunk gallon of tea and then went for waz, that cold the old pistol was up in me belly somewhere..... jesus roll on spring

drinkers frozen solid again have to keep me eye on them throughout the day ....scrapped out or should I say chiseled out with lump hammer and bolster we got a few inches on the ground now about another 25/30 cms to fall on top of that ,could get worse but maybe not so bad ,is what it is ...

had to change water 3 times today 4 hours in the loft and water just starts to freeze again ,nightmare but has to be done with babies in the nest

Been a cold one again today -3 snow blowing in at work water pipe frozen and burst so glad to get home

had nothing but car problems today, its no good messing with them in this weather.......

Plus 2 C here. Heavy rain. Just starting to switch to snow. tonight minus 4 C and snow ending tomorrow afternoon. Few inches is all forecast. Wind may cause drifts but heck! After days of minus 20 wind chill of minus 30 some, 12 inches of snow some days this is heaven! Had the heated waterers unplugged over a week now. All is well!

we are in a state of emergency here hal...a few inches of snow and the whole lot
grinds to a halt...trains..planes...buses...
we will just have another cup of tea.....

not as cold this morning, zero C but wind picking up light snow showers.
still taking water to the loft

no snow now since yesterday morning, main roads back to normal, side roads like ice........still very cold .

I don't mind the cold as long as drinkers are ok ????
