| 32 as of today. Will start switching eggs to others I have that got chilled earlier in the year. Never had a young one freeze in the nest. The yearlings that have hatched young and I have banded, about 6 pairs, are from the best fliers I moved to the stock loft. Starting to see an obviuos pattern. parents of the best fliers stocked were also best fliers stocked previously. Older racers not stocked, some laying not yet hatched. Mated same time as yearlings. Will dump all their eggs tomorrow. Appears to me just not good enough. 15 pairs of older racers. Doubt if they will prove anything this season. 15 pairs of yearlings. Hoping for 6 good pairs but will settle for less. Will have to. Loft space will be halved after this year. Always interesting. |

| Windows 10 did an auto update. Stopped auto now. Then could not get back on line. Unplugged checked cables routers everything else. Figured sattelite was down. Screwed around for an hour. No luck. Took the dogs outside in the snow. Dark here. Then had a thought. Dish? Yup! Scraped snow off it and came back in. All is now working good!! So bloody simple! Winds is from the East. 99% of the time it is West. Blows any snow off. Live and learn. |

If you are going to switch eggs Hal, when do you you it (how old are the eggs when you swap them)? We will not have any hatched until 5th March. We are very late this year because of our move back to the UK. Phil |
