PostSubject: WORTH CONSIDERING   Tue Apr 03, 2018 10:37 am

On the news this morning was a discussion regarding greyhound racing and all that it entailed.

Attempts are being made to ban it on several grounds.

There is no reason to believe that the same people hell bent on stopping all sports involving animals targeting pigeon racing next.

It would be interesting to go into the private activities of those attempting to do so.

Regards.

its like everything now misty, the pc brigade are trying to take away all our rights and history, bit by bit.....they ban fox hunting (which I agree with), but because it is mainly done by the upper classes it is still let to continue, the police even protecting the hunters against protesters .....eventually they will stop or attempt to stop everything joe public has, dog racing, horse racing and pigeon racing, on grounds of cruelty........yet these same people say nothing about proper animal abuse, such as halal and kosha ritual slaughter, dog fighting and general animal cruelty.

got to be honest thought we were at risk years ago, been approached by these lot fishing on river severn, a few lads had problems with them and this is going back 15-20 years, it doesn't help when you get knobs on u tube necking pigeons, we also need to be aware that not everyone will see things your/our way, it is a genuine worry if someone like peta came after this sport.

yes your right rog, some pigeon men don't do the sport/hobby of racing pigeons any favours by what they do or say, it only needs certain groups or people to hear/see it and they have the ammunition they need.

PETA has been working on getting pigeon racing band on this side of the pond for a while now. Won’t be long before they succeed if our numbers keep dropping

Stopped at a Stop sign yesterday etc here while out driving & one graffiti type had painted under it "eating meat". Most probably has as university type degree I suspect but totally brainless I suggest by his actions. cheers

As I recall, the people who went to the mink farms etc; were found to be the hippy type, with nothing better do than think of an issue they could take up and cause as much trouble as possible.

When they were exposed as such matters went down hill for them.

There will be the same type amongst the anti this and that brigade who will have matters that may throw some light on their activities and what they get up to in their private lives may not stand up to scrutiny, there is an old saying, "fight fire with fire".

Just a bunch of nutter types I suggest Hal Smile Smile who really have no idea about life in general. One day they may just figure out, humans were given the power over chickens & the like on this planet Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes even if they would much prefer it to be the other way round I suggest Wink Wink. cheers

Many crackpots here. Argueng with a guy few weeks ago. Was buying kidneys. Beef. For steak and kidney pie. In the Supermarket yet. Tells me I should not eat meat. He stated vegatables were better for you. Told I am eating green stuff. He just laughed and said how? That is meat! Told him yes, but the meat came from an animal that only ate greens. It just converted it so technically eating recycled greems.

come to the conclusion, everything the government tell you, or every survey the food agencies do is lies and propaganda to manipulate you in some way...........never believe scientists, doctors, police or politicians.......... they lie.

If you care to read a bit about why they're trying to ban it, you might better understand. From what I've read, greyhound racing *can* be a very abusive sport, and the animals are often drugged and pumped full of stuff that makes them run (and die) faster.

Before making excuses for wanting to ban greyhound racing, you would be better considering what could be used against our sport.

Greyhound racing. Horse racing. Pigeon racing. Doping, enhancing drugs, goes with the 'sport' one is involved in. Of course there will be detractors. Never ending battle. Never read about the cricket fiasco. Just assume one Aussie felt sorry for the ball having to work so hard so helped it along. The ball did not have feelings but apparently the referees did.

Some worry me also Misty Wink Wink but Fly Away being young of age Smile Smile I'm quiet happy to show lenience with what she may post at times here etc. I watched the news here this morning about our live sheep trade business over seas. 2000 odd sheep killed by bad management on the ship on one trip. Does that now mean we should ban the total operation because of a few bad eggs in the basket type of thing Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes. Further more Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes one government body here brought in a ban on grey hound racing, just recently because they listened to the do gooder mob & there was such an up roar by the general public here they had to see sense & reverse their decision, thankfully Wink Wink. Enough said Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
