watched it last night, love em or hate em, they are impressive, tennis ball from 3km, 200mph, pulling 8g's in turns, need to send our pigeons out in Kevlar suits and uzi's, interesting that urban birds are 40% more likely to survive than the countryside cousins, cant help feeling that we are up against it persuading people they need to be cut back, people seem to have morbid/fascination with animals that are born killers and the veggies just make up the numbers, i would be happy with none intervention by humans for start and see were that takes us, not holding my breath tho Sad

yes I watched it too its better to know what yer up against eh ...they are impressive birds and I don't hate them at all what I hate is the meddlers with nature putting up nesting sites in the cities especially churches they are the worst hypocrites spouting peace and love when the killing machine is ripping its kill and leaving the debris above on the church spire I always thought the dove was the bird of peace No the university's get money for their deed

The fact is that for many years the raptor problem was kept under control by the game keepers, along with all the other animals that got out of control, crows, stoats, magpies etc; could be seen hung up on fences along with other pests.

The RSPB jumperd on the band wagon when DDT started having an adverse effect on all the wild bird populations and forgot entirely about the small bird populations
and used the position as the base to not only protect the existing raptors but introduce ones that had become almost none resident prior to the DDT situation.

I had never ever seen a sparrowhawk attack small birds on garden feeding stations until recently, the RSPB say the raptors are just acting naturally, yet their own web site stated until recently that the sparrowhawk was a deep woodland bird that rarely strayed from the woodland etc;

Every animal is awork of art, and in it's intended environment offers nothing but enlightenment regarding creation etc; it is when mankind becomes involved and thinks he knows best??????.

Regards.
