I know so far we have won 3 races but this season has been the worst I have experienced since I started racing in 1984ish . Not known of so many cancelled or held over races ,ever..we have lost a few as well . Let's hope it improves from now now and end up with some proper races..fingers crossed

That’s a nightmare Ray, the weathers getting more unpredictable every year.
Still, looking on the bright side you’ve had 3 more wins than me so far.
cheers

awful start to the season ….we had 9 cocks to race they all flew the yb programme and 2 ,2 year olds...we lost 3 training and 2 in the first race so we were down to 4 race birds but for the last 7 races we have had full returns and scored 3 times ,is it sorting the wheat from the chaff or just bad luck I don't know but since the first race we have had a relatively good season all things considered and we have had plenty fun on the way pirat pirat

Sounds like sorting the wheat from the chaff to me, but birds of prey are always in the back of your mind.
I’ve got Thurso 515 miles in a few races time, and I’m just wondering how many birds of prey they will have to encounter on their way home.

When I was a boy my dad used to say you had to send 3 good pigeons to Thurso to get one Home, I wonder what ratio it would be today.
