Do any of the pigeons ever get reported and returned to the loft, it appears very strange if they just vanish.

Can one tell that a pigeon is from olr from any ring etc???. if so a finder may be tempted to keep it, thinking that fanciers only enter their best.

Regards.

yes would love to know seemed to go missing around the loft not from a toss ...all sorts of things could happen but trust must prevail in the circumstance but never again will I send birds there I did ask the question about the liberation of the one loft birds into the north staffs liberation from another area of the liberation site but was ignored completely which is suspicious as they have answered every other question posed ,their on the ball with the pool money and entry money but updates and coverage is abysmal to say the least ...its their duty to retrieve any lost birds as all birds are transferred to the one loft ,whether they encourage the return is another matter as I have not heard any news regarding the return of any birds via courier ,basically I think this one loft is utter $h1+£ Smile

oldstrain

Once something is based entirely on money any semblance of concern for anything else goes out the window.

Surely if any pigeons were returned from fanciers reporting them they should be listed by the organisers, even if they were not fit to participate further.

If I was involved I would seek some answers.

Regards,

One loft races. Many have much better care, communications etc,. SA race for instance. However one gets what one pays for. I am not complaining. Fair chance for every one entered.

Acting as the Devils Advocate I cannot see how one can claim that all pigeons in a olr have an equal chance.

No one can guarantee that each pigeon has the same treatment with so many being involved.

Not all are trained at the same time and some will have a better position in the loft etc;

But if you enter then you have to take the results with a pinch of salt, the best pigeon could be yards ahead and taken by a raptor a couple of miles from the loft.etc;

There are so many different possible senarios that could affect the result as to make it a gamble, but one giving thills to some and ills to others.

If you eneter knowing all the possibilities then you should accept the results with good grace.

That does not excuse those who run the races not running them in a proper manner.

Regards.
