PostSubject: Bird Reported.......   Sat Aug 25, 2018 9:41 am

got a letter from the rpra saying one of my ybs had been found dead, the finder is a vet who reported the pigeon was dead.........not sure on whats gone on so will need to speak/email them.

no idea if its a none fancier who has found the bird and handed it in to a vet, or found the bird injured and handed it in to the vet........all will be revealed shortly I hope. Suspect

Hope you do not get a bill from the vet, they appear to have runaway pens when writing out their bills.

It is understandable if a member of the public sees an injured pigeon and takes it to the vet, any caring person would do so

The vet presumably would treat any injuries straight away.

I have had the same problem when a fancier has not transferred a pigeon given them but trained it and it was handed into the vet.

The vet treated the pigeon and reported it to the RPRA who informed me of the vet concerned.

I rang the vet and explained that the pigeon was in fact not mine but still in my name and gave him the fanciers name and I do not know what happenedc after that.

But as the vets fees could be considerable it raises the point who is responsible .

The one who hands it in to the vet or v the fancier.

Regards.
