| Looks in decent nick Hal, bit short in length for my liking.
What wonderful tales there would be if a pigeon could talk.
I think one or two fanciers would get a rude awakening.
Regards. |

| Will let it out with mine when and if the fog lifts. Googled the number, International Fed etc,. Apparently band was sold to a club member in Townlee, Pennslyvania. Population 306. People! Lies direct South of me across Lake Erie. 150 plus miles. I assume it crossed the border at Niagara Falls/Buffaloe cuople hours East or Sarnia/Detroit couple hours West. Not sure about the clip band. Did not look. Reporting it? Not any more. Report them hold them in and then get word "Keep the stupid bugger! Not driving all tha way to pick it up!! Good breeding though you should breed off it." So feed etc with mine and out they go with them. Have 3 more here and the same fancier as last year lost two of them. Big shot in the CU but will not drive an hour for a bird. Breeds lots so can afford to lose some I suppose. |

| All those names Hal, conjure up a wealth of Americas many well known natural features, but the weather appears to be a problem enjoying them.
The stray problem here is much the same with many fanciers only losing their best pigeons, ????? when reported and then offering them to the finder, then others who would give their right arm to have some of theirs reported and would go miles to retrieve them.
Our club used to get all the strays together from every fancier and take them to a sray centre or liberate them as close to the area the rings indicated they came from.
The cost of privately having a pigeon returned is one possible reason that strays are not reported, not all fancier have bottomless pockets and the excuses often given for not sending for them puts fanciers off reporting others.
If a fancier lost 10 pigeons in a smash and all reported from different areas the cost could be over £600.
Regards.
