The RPRA AGM will be here and gone before you can blink and will probably be the last chance to change matters so that the sport is run in a manner that represents the wishes of the majority.
The RPRA paid £10,000 of members money for an independent assessment of the whole RPRA structure.
This indicated that it was outdated and not fit for purpose.
Attempts were made to change matters at the last AGM but as I said would happen the Old Brigade found a way of stopping any changes in line with the report.
The propositions were not put in a manner that the Old Brigade could not find some method of calling them out of order etc:
Seperate propositions should be put forward with no mention ofthe Hall Report, the ridiculous, a small explanation why the proposition is put forward is another ploy to give the OLD BRIGADE a chance to use it as a means of calling a proposition out of order.
All it needs is, TO IMPROVE THE SPORT and nothing more.
The main aim should be to give individual voting, this could easily be implimented by clubs forwarding their voting to the region and no need to send a representative, at the present time some clubs never have a vote as they have no representative.
A limit on how long a person can serve on the Council should be a priority, you would not in the future get the present clique calling the tune and ignoring every rule in the book at will.
These are just two of several propositions that would benifit the sport and there are several others but fanciers must get off their back sides and become involved before thedport is no longer a viable proposition for the grass root fancier.
Regards.
