Bloke that put in the unit Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes  announced to the world Smile Smile on the night here, what the **** is this thing etc lol! lol! lol! as it would be in a bin by my standards & not the race unit Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Wink Wink. cheers

Nothing out of the norm with the parents FW etc. Father thou actually is a Geordie lol! lol! lol! so suspect Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes more than likely that's the reason it appears a wee bit of an odd bod type so to speak, in the colour department SmileSmile. cheers

Color is no indication of anything other than appearance, it is what is below that counts, as in all forms of life.

No doubt pigeons look at some fanciers and have a god laugh in particular when they expect them to return

to have a load of rubbish put down their throats.

Regards.

Dave Ottoway (Nove Scotia club)Admin · October 11 at 10:18 AM
Here is a picture of one of my stock hens. Silver pied wf hen. As a yb she was just trained out to. 60 miles and serval times out flew the small 20 bird team on some tough tosses. In stock she bred 2 bb hens nest mates. First two banded of the year last January. 18101 & 18102. These two hens were my best 2 racers in 2018 ybs. They to out raced my team and the club on several occasions. They would land together on the board 3 races in a row as my first and second birds They won races both and led the club 3 weeks in a row as 1st & 2nd best birds in the club. On the last 500 km race the west wind was too much for them and got blown off coarse and finished 2nd and 5 th best birds in the club. Still a great performance. A picture of their mother with an eye shot. This hen will be paired to my best breeding Cocks for the future. I will mate her first ,to the 5 race Average speed winner from the Toronto Tri Fecta OLR. ,,This Silver hen is Pure Staff Van Reet from my friends Ryan Richard Zonnekeyn, super hen.

You often find the best eyes according to the theory in pied and grizzle hundreds and thousands with such eyes would be useless and a proportion, as with all other eyes, all capabilities between.

Regars.

I have many times found a pied with one good eye and the other a bull eye, with regards to the theory,
makes no difference to the pigeons capabilities.

Ones place in life is by chance, how one uses it is by choice, unfortunately, many people are ungrateful and others shameful.

My Uncle, whom I visited when four, and frightened a bird about to trap, most annoyed said to my sister 'Shut him up … can't you put him in a bucket of water' etc.
Stayed for a month later when six. His son a nasty bully, but I spend long times just watching the pigeons through the wires. Got the bug big time... Fascinated, especially by the colours o their necks etc.
Any way he apparently flew a very good pigeon.
He excelled with a particular pigeon from San Sabastian 2- maybe 3 - times with it plus other achievements. A wealthy man sent his representative twice to buy it, but to no avail. So he came himself and tried every thing persuasion to make a sale... also to no avail again.

Any way the threats took over and he said to Reg, my uncle 'Name your own price, whatever it is I will pay it now'! Again refused so the person said. 'Don't be foolish, it could die tomorrow and you would get nothing'. Reg shrugged his shoulders and said nothing. Next morning it was found dead in the loft. Neck wrung.
We never understood why it wasn't taken and the ring cut off?
