| Each household is allowed to grow 4 plants. I never grew any this year. Mice ate all the seeds. I assume some one will start experimenting with giving it to pigeons. Uragauy is the only other country were it is legal. |

| Several recent reports indicate that billions of pounds are involved in illegal drugs, many instances involving teenagers as carriers etc;.
Despite all the , or lack of, means to deal with the matter, the problem increases with no apparent means of stopping it.
Those intent on using the drugs will get them irrespective of who supplies them.
Far better to have the means of obtaining them legally and putting the profits into the NHS.
The only difference would be that the drug barons would be out of business and the profits could be better employed.
Regards. |

| It's coming your way. Spain, Italy are looking at it. Plus others. Beer/liquor had to go through the same process. No matter what it is up to the person to decide when is enough. |

| As with the problems with alcohol etc; if drugs were all made legal only those intent on using the drugs would do so, some reasonably other to excess.
But it would find it's own level in society as has alcohol etc;.
The best way of course would be tohave a society where no one needed artificial stimilants.

| Well we are the Biggest 'Weed Dealers' in the world. Legal and otherwise.. Have been since the 60's. Just how does one think such quantities are brought in! Smuggled! Get real. Dogs can sniff any where inside a ship, plane etc. EVEN from the outside whether covered in Coffee or not! So bad now that the 'Red Caps' hands are tied. How can they stop the pilots / Captains from bring their own supply in when bring in huge amounts for the government~? We, like France / Russia / the U.S.A. could wipe out the poppy fields for instance without even leaving their offices, let alone sending planes etc. etc. |

| In theory Misty. But like having two Olympics. Drug enhanced ones and drugs free... Of course in the Drug Free, cheats would be cheats and prevail. Sports biggest cheats, like Carl Lewis 5 times caught twice in the Olypics and 3 times World etc. In fact he like 7 others failed in the Soul Olympics. Ben Johnson disqualified and given to Carl Lewis! Why! Well the official reason was 'Carl Lewis is 'Good' for the sport and Ben Johnson isn't. You couldn't make it up. |

| That is the whole point,
Where there is vast amounts of money to be made illegally some will find a way of taking advantage and counter any attempt to stop them.
Make it legal to both buy and sell and the competition would bring the price down and irrespective of the availability only idiots would take drugs other than for medicinal purposes.
If all the poppy fields were destroyed there would still be numerous other methods of growing any drug or obtaining them, and they are not the major players in the drug trade.
If they were made legal the boys in blue could then do the job we pay them for, stop our children being abused, stop the knife crimes, murder reported every day etc;
Choose what efforts are put towards stopping the illegal drug trade it will be in vain.
Regards.

| afganistan is the main source of the poppy/ heroin , the uk and usa etc bang on about stopping the growing and transportation of it, but in reality they are controlling the drug trade.........tons of the stuff is brought into the uk, and its mostly white, working class men who are taking it, people who have no jobs, money or hope because our government has betrayed them........cannabis is mainly home grown in this country, not much is imported here, partly because its crap and not worth the trouble.
the main drugs inported is heroin, coke .....and now we have an even dangerous product called spice , which is turning users into zombies, which suits the government very nicely.
so with the drug problem, and now the gender thing, the whole country has gone insane........if you speak out against the government or go against what you are told to think, you are a trouble maker, or a nut case. |

We actually were talking about the spice ice epidemic we have here David last night at the club etc. One bloke gave us a run down in the area where he works as such. Dealers & druggies all out in the open for all to see & the police choose to turn a blind eye there, because of the paper work involved & how it would effect their crime rate statistics at the top end. |

| Here it is opiodes. Then mixed with other stuff. Treatment centers are set up so people can inject safely. Malaxone (?) always on hand for the ones who overdose. Trained staff watching. They want to kill themselves let them!! Their choice. I should not have to pay to support safe injection sites. |

| The first people outside the chemists every morning are those the NHS are paying to give them anti doping medication, if that is the terminology, self inflicted problem costing the NHS millions of pounds, then you have the vastly overweight having treatment for all the problems it causes also self inflicted, (there are genuine reasons in some cases for overweight) then ANM being inundated with drunken yobs who have tried to kill each other, not to mention the latter often assault the staff etc;
Then you have the idiots calling for more money to be spent in the NHS, if only the people ill for normal problems were treated the costs could be halved, but the commercial boys would suffer and we cannot have that.
Regards.

| To get back to our feathered friends.
Just read that there are cases of Rotavirus in our country it is apparently a killer with no means of treatment nor diagnosis prior to death of the pigeon.
No suprize to me nor will it be the worst problem, before long young will die from one reason or another in the nest and then in the shell.
Fanciers have muddled too much with the basics needed to keep our feathered friends capable of dealing with problems as they arrose.
But the win at any cost boys care about nothing other than winning and we are seeing the results.
Never heard of a wild pigeon with the disease, strange one would have thought they would have been wiped out.
Regards.

| rotavirus has been around for many years seems strange that its breaking out now they had a severe dose in Australia seems to be a silent killer like the circo virus their have been reports in germany to and no doubt in Holland and Belgium I don't think we can compare wild birds as we would never know they had it unless they had an autopsy ...is wacky backy anti viral by any chance |
