| As most folks know, I got in a US white stray last year. She bred me an excellent young. Placed twice 2 races. Anyway. New guy starting. Gave him 6 youngsters. 1 a red stray from Erie, Penn. US. Never trained. Guy lives 90 miles east of me. It escaped last night just before dark. Windy, cloudy minus 4 C same as this morning. Fed the birds and de-iced the wterers. Red stray was sitting on loft roof. Opened the trap and it popped in. It stays here now. I need more strays!!! |

| Hal, and yet the Experts say they should go up and down the road every day training.
Never took any notice but did better than most.
All the pigeon needs is to be healthy and wants to return.
Hope it does well next year.
Regards. |

| I cannot race it. Band not registered to me. Same as the white hen stray. Stock loft for it. May breed like. Will be 13th cock in stock loft. All previous race winners. Same as the hens going in there. Odds are in my favour some good young will emerge. No disrespect to any one pedigrees do not count for much. Red Jannsens were the base and still are. Tried a few Ganus Venus blood but all gone now. No intention of buying pigeons. Those days of spending big bucks is long gone. Keep the best and they should breed better percentage wise. |

| Makes me smile when they say that the birds are tearing up the skies for a couple of hours or so. A. they should be resting in the loft conserving that enery for coming race eh! Also, if so why still toss them? Rubbish is that I believe. Some just train 10 miles a day and fed straight in... far better by far. Say a pigeon circle is 500yards, every 3 or 4 circles then is a mile... two hours! 40 laps would be more than enough I feel. |

| A pigeon gets its self fitter when it has open loft, collecting nesting material, up and down to the loft is far better than being air born flapping around, it will take to the sky when it feels the the inclination and only the pigeon knows when.
When it does it will fly for the pleasure and not because it has been forced to do., when in fact it should be resting because it is off colour etc;
But circunstances dictate actions in many cases but that does not change the facts, if all in a club are using the same methods then obviously the WINNERS can claim their system works.choose what it is.
Regards.
