Has been a while.

Xmas card from my sister now in Hastings. Had the wrong address for her for years so no communication. Not a Facebook person. Asked my wife to call her. The call went through no problems. Line absolutely clear. Call 50 miles from here all sorts of problems. Cell phone. Have not seen or spoken to her for over 40 years. Told me I still had an accent! Geordie accent! Oh well. Surprised when my wife told her we had 14 grand kids and 16 GGrandkids. Her husband died quite a few years ago. New Zealander. Worked for the British Goverment then they downsized. Then he worked at a health food store. Big guy. Died of a heart attack. She had a boy and a girl. Both went to university. One to Eton other Oxford. Emily Ford is a reporter. Also is in the BBC. Oliver the boy, works for the UK Goverment. Have very little contact with them. None with Emily. Oliver is an asshole. Swear word is not allowed in his very few posts. Elaine, my sister was surprised when I told her I had pigeons. Her comment was "but you had them in the coalhouse as a boy." Said yes. They seem to stick with people. Anyway wife had to end the call. 25 minutes at $3 a minute. That is the UK! Doubt if I will call Knackered any time soon!!

Truth be told Hal I wouldn't talk to you as such you having a Geordie type accent there it appears. Besides as we know here you take a good photo of a pigeon type of thing but like me you know absolutely nothing about them, unfortunately .

On a more pleasant thought than spending all that money, the family appears to have done very nicely, as for swearing, there are some beautiful descriptive words with a beautiful ring, no need to swear.
