Maybe so makes an absolute mockery thou I suggest Misty of your rule there, that only so many pigeons can live in a certain type space for the harmony/health factor I suspect .

, Watched a turkey farm type of thing, Knackered, thousands of turkeys in a very small area regarding the numbers housed.

The only reason they survived was through constant preventative treatment, so the healthy were treated along with the POSSIBLY ill.

I would not believe that so many young could be bred without both they and the parents were subjected to regular flock treatment.

No one could identify a problem in such numbers before it became almost untreatable and any enterprise would soon be out of business.


Learned long ago how the continentals use treatments constantly and warned against us dong the same, over 45 years ago.


Every enterprise involving large numbers of animals being bred at the same time use preventative and curative treatments, or in this day and age having moved so far from nature they would be out of business, so no one not even the breeders know the natural healthy ones.


Would be very interesting to learn how many of those in the picture ever raced, if there were any percentage worth keeping the breeders would be out of business within a very short time, everyone having champions etc;

Are you sure they were not bred for the table ?.

Think many of our own fanciers would be better of offering their birds for the table, but hey, with so many drugs being used and abused in one way or another as is Googling may not be a good idea.

Have been in the livestock business for very many years. All have to be medicated. Hogs basically. If not wipe out occurs, herd lost.

Worked as a young lad Misty in a large egg production shed/factory type of thing main job  was de-beaking all the hens in there small cages so as to stop them all fighting etc. Cruel & not the type of thing they would put on an egg cartoon for the customers but just real life to a certain degree, maybe & just something that goes on behind closed doors with many animal types we tend to eat I suggest .

Any meat has been medicated some where along the line the line of production. Fact of life. All veggies have been sprayed with pesticides or growth hormones. All fish have been exposed to pollutants. Food choices? No idea!! Live and adapt.

I actually did the Google thing etc Misty & the word is there our Ray has thoughts of even taking a 3rd round also apparently something to do with having a few spare perches to fill I hear.

Me thinks he would be better employed sticking to realty, Knackered, maybe press the wrong key and end up learning something worthwhile.

Under normal circumstances maybe Misty But our Ray is a Geordie type etc so one must make allowances for what the do there at times I would suggest       .

Met some very good nice up North boys whilst on a course, Albert Baggot was one fancier I used to visit along with several of his friends all salt of the earth, just wish they did not speak in a foreign dialect.
