| Chris Packham is now attempting to outlaw breeding game birds to be shot.
Although I do not actually agree with the sport myself, if everything someone did not like was banned there would be nothing to do.
The point is he has the guts to go about getting rid of what he and others do not like.
In our sport we have a set of none descripts running matters, the only thing first on their agenda is keeping their positions on the Council.
Oh I forgot, the Raptor Alliance, as promised, has the solved the raptor problem.
Regards.

| The Raptor Alliance promised results in November ????? years ago.
There is absolutely no chance of any Law reducing the number of raptors, in fact the Law is presently considering increasing protection.
The money wasted on this useless venture could have been used to test our case in the Courts including the Human Rights Court.
We would then have known just where we stood in LAW.
But the look whose sailing the ship.

| i heard years ago, these protection rules were EU rules, and we had to abide by them .......now we are allegedly leaving the EU, will the rule still apply to us. also i would like to find out if the rpra donate to charities, and if so which ones, in the uk or abroad ......... |

| The new proposals in the process, published in the BHW not too long ago are for the UK, although I do think Scotland have their own.
The actual contents can be easily obtained by just putting Existing Law Regarding Protection of Wild Life, on your computer.
We have no chance against the RSPB, they can pluck figures from thin air to make a point, then you have people like Packham and a few cronies who get more done than the 20,000 membership of the RPRA. The RPRA should have taken action 30 years ago when the lads in Scotland warned us about the possible problem spreading.
But then we are talking about the RPRA not a properly run organisation.
Regards.

| Just read where Packham and his yobs are getting their way again regarding the culling of problem birds, farmers who have to keep their lambs etc; safe from certain birds have always been able to do so with no problem.
Within a few weeks Packham and his yobs have been able to get legislation to make then prove that their stock is being attacked before they can do anything.
Our sad lot have had years and a numerous amount of money regarding raptors and have gone backwards, not one positive step has been taken, plenty of cups of teas and meetings etc; result, NOTHING.
We have no idea exactly where we presently stand, I said from day one when the Raptor Alliance suggested it was a complete waste of time and money.
The very first thing we should have done is find out exactly what our present rights were, we still have no idea, could we kill a raptor on our own land that threatened our pigeons ?. no one knows because the only way, as I said years ago, was to establish it in a Court of Law, then you challenge it if you feel the ruling is wrong and go from there.
Our sport has been represented by the worst possible set of representatives possible, can imagine hands going up in horror, so and so has done a good job representing our sport etc; etc; when I can prove so and so is a real so and so with no morals.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating, we had thousands more fanciers 50 odd year ago, the sport was thriving and this lot have done nothing to improve the sport in any respect for the benefit of ALL fanciers.
Year after year the same applies APATHY, I'm Alright Jack, nothing matters unless it affects me directly, well believe me if fanciers do not get involved there will soon be no sport.
