| mark cauldwells system is very good and simple enough ...I feed in the box myself to but a bit different to marks system regards the feed as I feed a bit more fats as we get alot of headwinds racing on the north ,I experimented a little with it last season with the feed and found this best
60-100 miles morning all week 1/4 ounce diet evening 1 ounce Gerry 100-200 morning same eve same til wed thurs when they get 1 ounce superstar 200-300 morning same eve all week superstar basket day am 1 ounce diet and
on day of race(return) evening I feed diet 1 ounce I also make my own fat mix with chia, hemp, safflower, peeled sunflower hearts, linseed, rape and pin head oatmeal all human grade (not too much of this one its toxic in large amounts for pigeons is rapeseed it can lower the red and white blood cells) this mix is given instead of diet when the race is looking like a stiff one 1200 yds and under its introduced earlier in the week depending on the distance raced ...some like to feed near 1 1/2 ounce per day but the fats fill any hole and I raced well last year on this up to 300 miles we raced 8 cocks 9 weeks on the bounce and only dropped 1 in the last race we won the English averages and were in the hunt every week ,I am sure their are more experienced widow flyers than me and I myself will be interested in the replies atb |

| Used to feed our birds in pots but not now, they get what they want. A bird will eat what it needs in my eyes so we use troughs . It works for us plus a lot easier with a larger team |

| tried feeding in pots but they pick what they want the rest went under the grills, so went back to feeders on floor, measured and fed twice day, no big secret in feeding usually a mixture of natural sneaky, versa laga superstar black, and champion plus for channel, don't mess too much for inland which usually is south west up their arse and longest is 176miles so walk in the park |
