how very true barnie, there has always been "posh lofts" as such and of course a loft situated like the first pic would have advantage one would think ...anyway there will always be someone doing what you should be ,some lovely lofts all the same

Yes, very nice lofts many people would say.

I would be more interested in what the pigeons thought.

Regards.

tell you what i would think they would be very happy in the last loft as the ventilation looks spot on ...what a loft Shocked this one would be my pick but one can only dream of such ,fair play to the owner because if i could i would ,happy with our timber lofts though all the same bounce

yes, some very nice posh lofts there..........did at one time think about building a brick / block loft, but decided against it as i thought it might be cold, i looked at my garage and thought, would this atmosphere be good for pigeons conditioning and decided against it, although i do accept those with brick / block lofts are perfectly happy with them, and have no problems at all ......just wasnt for me .

The last loft is Jim Biss I guess taken about 30 years ago, the middle one Jos Kempeneer about 40 years ago.

The other ones some time before then,

But even back in the day there was obviously a professional element, plenty of spare cash with hundreds of birds competing against the back yard fancier with a few pairs by comparison. No difference to the situation today really?

Geordie mate here Barnie, visited Biss etc when he was young. Kid on the block as such from up north where there was 20 odd lofts on an allotment (mostly made of any thing) to his palace at the time. End of the day Smile Smile it all had an effect on him in some ways as he still races the Dordins even today, which Biss had much success with I believe  Smile  Smile. Thou that being said Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes in what I say bounce bounce & if I'm wrong, it's that memory issue playing games here again I'm affraid. He certainly did visit his set up of the day there Wink Wink he had at the time & I know that as a fact Wink Wink & after knowing him as I do, as he is one of those honest type Geordies lol! lol! lol! from our near 30 years of friendship as such down here Smile Smile.  cheers
