For cryingout loud, JUSTWHAT GOODWPULDA TRAININGTOSS DO AT THIS STAGE, after such poor returns.

If they do not know the way back by now they never will.

What they need is a rest and maybe a pick me up.

A complee mystery to me the whole set up and methods.

Regsrds.

Too confused to think straight over the whole matter.

Truth be told Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad they have had major health problems/issues right from the start there I suspect O/S Smile Smile 4/500 pigeons gone bounce bounce by the time they had their first toss from the paddock next door there & that somehow tells me  Wink Wink it just hasn't been paradise in paradise type of thing I suggest in a pigeon sense. Now  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes  Very Happy  Very Happy not that I desire to put the boots into any one  bounce  bounce But  Very Happy  Very Happy 2nd hot spot race from 70 miles, maybe  Wink  Wink & we will have around half the birds in it  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad I suspect that fronted up at the start to take up the challenge for their happy owners. cheers flower alien

Agree Misty, no need for any further training .... Especially in this heat.
However it is simply, in my view for two reasons. A. Because fanciers in the silly short sightedness believe they need it! indeed all that they can get. and B. then if none given what an out cry would follow! Those with losses would certainly jump on the wagon of 'Blame' saying it was because they weren't set 60-70 miles in the scorching heat!
The simple fact is New idea's of nonsense prevails, and too many looking for some one, anyone to blame!
they should be resting in air conditioned lofts. Wet sacking over it or hosed over regularly! J.M.O

Few understand I suspect etc Daz Smile Smile the heat build up in many transporters when in hot weather & the effect it has on the birds there. One of those out of sight out of mind type issues. 26/7 tosses Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes & they suggest they need more bounce bounce really speaking Smile Smile is 1/2 more tosses going to make all much difference come the end Wink Wink. End of the story  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes horse racing is big down here & every time it becomes hot here, they have sprinklers going above them in the stalls to keep them cool & content before racing, so maybe just some thing to think about like you say for the future, maybe  Smile  Smile.   cheers & take care

SUNDAY MARKING UPDATE
August 2nd, 2020
Good Evening

The birds have all been hand marked for Hot Spot One we did not mark 14 birds either being late back or injured etc.

I will be onsite at Ashbourne hopefully around 06.30 am and then hoping to get them away between 8 and 9 am..

You can follow on Benzing live plus the youtube camera will be on 50 minutes after liberation but it will need a few tweaks and new software that will be hopefully loaded on for Hot Spot Two but you should still be able to see them coming into the traps tomorrow through youtube.

We wish everyone the best of luck tomorrow let’s hope we have a great race with returns to match.

MONDAY EVENING
August 3rd, 2020
Good Evening

Its been a long day 4am start to 9pm and its not been a good day for us return wise i really don’t know what happened as they cleared very well in one large group so i think perhaps got into trouble early on as they were very split up and it was a perfect day weather wise etc for them.

Around 300 made good time but i was expecting alot more 90 percent at least today i just hope many work in tomorrow and were work on everything that comes.

A big well done to All around the globe syndicate which there pigeon arrived out in front on its own.

More on the winners coming soon.

Will update tomorrow evening.

TUESDAY UPDATE
August 4th, 2020
Good Evening

Well birds kept working in today and hopefully more will keep working in.

Had 4 reported today one is South Wales , One ten miles south of me , two north of me all will be collected , i think alot must of went by as ones today were generally coming from the sw route but who knows.

The birds are looking very good bouncing again after a few hours rest any very tired ones have been put into a seperate section to rest up.

Tomorrow the main will be loft flown then all being well a trainer on Thursday to try to put the A to B line back into them.

I will update tomorrow evening with the latest.

WEDNESDAY
August 5th, 2020
Good Evening

Around another 10 birds worked in today a couple got injured but will be ok in a couple of weeks all being well , another two reported south of me so looks like a good few went sailing past from Ashbourne.

Tomorrow if the weather is fit going to give them a 20 mile trainer just to try and put a bit of confidence back into them A to B and with wind on the nose it should keep them steady.

We will go from there on the next plan of action.

Will update tomorrow evening.

FRIDAY UPDATE
August 7th, 2020
Good Evening

Most did ok today but some still taking the long route or hiding out and i think the later.

We won’t be racing on Monday it will be towards the middle or the end of next week as they will get another one or two trainers before the next Hot Spot of just over a 100 miles i want to give them that extra couple of days and time and training to give them all the best shot.

All being well we will be training on Sunday.

Will update on Sunday evening.

Have a great weekend.

Do not think enogh considertion is given to the effect deydation can have.

I think I have said previosly I once had a very bad bought of food poisoning.

Must have upset the local Chinese gentleman who have the Take Away.

Lost several stones in weight.

Doctor gave me prescription for medication and said it could take six months to recover fully.

I said " You mean six weks at the most surely"

No was the reply, guess who was right.

The same applies to animals there is no fast and simple way to deal with it although it does depend on the severity.

Possible reason for many losses, sending them racing again before being fully recovered.

A couple of days rest and training again is asking for big trouble and needless losses.

Regards.

Just wonder how they would handle a situation unfolding down here etc Misty Smile Smile in the next week or so. One well known Fed up north started the season off flying due south for 10 or so races, till the border was shut on them for the near future because of the virus scenario. Solution Smile Smile Easy Wink Wink just swing them all due north for 10 races to just complete their season as such Very Happy Very Happy. Have a wee feeling  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes if we did that with our race  bounce  bounce the numbers left at the finish would be rather scarce somehow I'm  affraid.  cheers & take care.

Think ours are so confused nothing would make things worse Knackered.

Having said that I have changed pigeons from North to South and visa versa on many occasions with reasonable results.

The difference being mine had not been confused.

Settle down etc O/S Smile Smile or you could blow a gasket type of thing Wink Wink lol! lol! lol!. Bit hard Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes reading a weather map bounce bounce & sticking the finger up in the air Very Happy Very Happy before you decide to toss or not Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes. Just playing the numbers game I suspect & are a bit worried what the final outcome may just be at the finish this year, seeing as they had 500 odd birds put up for auction last year at the end by my understanding. cheers flower alien

Think ours are so confused nothing would make things worse Knackered.

Having said that I have changed pigeons from North to South and visa versa on many occasions with reasonable results.

The difference being mine had  not been confused.

Regards.
Interesting scenario will be played out over the next 10/12 weeks or so with the Fed in question etc Misty Smile Smile. Flyer leading the Fed averages there on the south line is the longest flyer bar 3/4 type of thing. Won 6 of 12 Fed races. When they swing north etc thou Smile Smile he will be the shortest flyer bar 3/4 come race day. Knowing the Fed in question bounce bounce I will put my house up Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes that he will not win 6 out of the last 12 races type of thing they have planned Wink Wink. cheers & take care.

Be very interesting and something to look forward to Knackered, may be some suprizes.

Maybe show if position does play a major part in results.

Could not be a better chance of comparison.

Regards.
