How they handle ......

I notice when handling YBirds early morning they handle differently on an evening, always tighter in body and larger in the hand at the end of each day. Must be difference between empty crops and full crops, didn't realize it was so noticeable.

do they feel tighter in the body and bigger after they have exercised colin ...? if so, is it possibly the muscles expanding, similar to a body builder lifting weights pumping the muscles up ...?

Huge difference at times etc Barnie as you say. Water consumption plays a part also I feel at times when judging a bird at different times of the day. Now had one of those knock, knock on door type days yesterday here a local, local found a pigeon in their back yard & guess who got chosen as the saviour of some thing, that vaguely resembled a pigeon of sorts .
