Club Training ....

a picture of our club training, one of our members takes our pigeons 25 miles for us three times a week .........

Thought it was rays trainers for a moment their dave nothing like cramming them in

Whoever treated pigeons like that, even if on the way to the butchers should be ????????. ??????.

rays is more over crowded ,mark .......

its a club somewhere up north misty, called the central hs ..........they fly with the up north combine

Cannot believe it David, if true the fanciers involved, every one of them, should be ashamed of themselves.

Looks as if not being able to be driven in a safe manner in any case.

Would ban the lot of them.

I think (could be wrong) David may just be yanking your chain etc Misty to a degree to lighting the mood here some what with recent events. For me it's more like a Taiwan type scenario or the back streets of China or the like where health & safety issues have little meaning I'm   & they have never heard of the welfare of the pigeons act     & it's still a bit like cowboy type country of old as such in a pigeon sense.

Not bothered where it is Knackered it is disgusting.

ive blocked all those pictures of dogs on facebook ray, and deleted most groups i was in........it gets too much sometimes, especially when we cant do anything to stop it.

i mainly only go on there now for marketplace etc, nothing much else on there i want to see .....

same here david gets a bit much at times ... they will eat absolutely anything awful it really is ,tiger bones,rhino horn,etc... etc... i know they gotta est but feck me surely they know this stuff is ethically wrong i just cannot comprehend it they must be lacking in compassion ,stealing peoples pets for the pot is a step to far

Truth be told Ray it's my local Fed here would you believe  transporting their birds today to there 1st race after being in lock down mode for 4 months with the virus issue. Picture thou only shows the first  bike in the convoy I'm as there are 6 others out of shot there     as they have a 10 bird limit for each flyer in the race, plus 50 odd trainers to help them all home from 100 odd miles    .

Beyond belief David.

Think we have gone from the unbelieveable to the too credible.

Bet less pigeons were lost then than now.

Must have had a few steeplejack members.

No doubt used vehicle for weddings at times.

Bet the fanciers in the loft in the sky look down and think what a lot of plonkers we are.

I think it is what it is, was misty.
times change. Personally if not over crowd - mind don't really believe that could be so - then no harm done.
I think - probably- being hammered in strong winds over channel is far worse.

The Railway carriages for racing was by far the best ever regards racing as to todays.

Let's be honest here, many a basket of pigeons were train on push bike or mopeds and certainly on motor bikes. Wouldn't be as bad, and a lot more so than on the slow moving means as ibn the pictures. Especially if time was of an essence J.M.O

treated and possible examples of liberation etc;

Along with the distances involved.

Appears a nightmare as far as I am concerned.

Would be lucky in my opinion to get more than a few yards without a mishap.

Magic type photo I say O/S wouldn't fancy thou also somehow fixing a flat tyre at the rear end there type of thing . Now for those that may just think it looks rather backward in nature by todays standards.  Camel train was the mode of transport down here in the early days etc
