| Maybe just lucky but found things really friendly so far, people I haven't seen for 15 to 20 years back in touch offering help plus young birds. Had a few health problems in some birds and just a phone call away was advice plus meds gifted to correct things. Help understanding the ETS system too. Even had offer of training once we are allowed to mix birds in a vehicle Frequent messages just asking how things are going in general so I can't grumble at all. |

Exactly the same applies in our area regarding helping other fanciers with regards to our sport, anyone wanting to start up would be inundated with offers of help. But that does not mean they all socialise outside the sport. I know some who curse their heads off, drink more than is good for them even have a spiff etc;but would give their last penny. The point is I would not socialise with them outside the sport. Unforetunately, our sport is nothing like it was 60/70 years ago' The opportunities to be anti this and anti that and allow this and allow that has changed matters beyond recall. If anyone is happy with the situation ????????. Regards. |

| i think there are a lot of cliques within clubs, and in pigeon keeping in general .......your either in the gang or not in it , it may be of some concern to some, but not to others . |

That is the main problem I found David. You get a few who booze together and form a clique, others with a few bob do the same, then the run of the mill fancier who just wants to fly his/her pigeons in peace. As a chairman for many years I can tell you it is NO JOKE. Could tell you events that would make your hair curl. Regards. |
