| If a cloud has a silver lining here, though the demise of our hobby is drawing every closer and faster, it is is that very many good birds will be available... at a very good price.
But then personally it was like that in the 50's etc. when nigh all lofts had to discard some good birds to make room in the nest boxes for the youngsters coming through. Als - later when Widowerhood becam fair rife, hens were bred from in August... IN the purple! Yes one could buy - especially newbies' good youngster very cheap, if not given. |

| Everything will depend on the number of cases of the virus in the next few days.
With the debate about blood clots going on things in that area are up in the air.
If it should put people off having the jab it could raise another problem.
One can only hope that people behave sensibly, unfortunately, some visitors are doing anything but, but they are not worried about anything other than themselves.
Regards. |

| Tell me about it David.
Never ever seen so many people, they cannot possibly comply with the rules.
Just hope the vacines make a difference.
Every seat on the front occupied, inches apart, surfers in abundance and do not think more than a dozen live here.
Just a total nightmare.
Regards. |

| Earlier this morning I was informed that the meeting scheduled for this afternoon had been cancelled. I am sure this will be a great disappointed to you all as it is to me. However, a DEFRA representative has taken the time to speak to me and as a result I am able to provide the following update; Defra has commissioned a risk assessment (currently not completed) that will be used to decide when to reinstate the General license. The option to do this on a staged approach starting with species considered a lower risk (such as Racing Pigeons) is still an option being considered. The General license will not be reinstated prior to 30th April. This means that Racing can not take place before this date and will be permitted at the earliest, from 1st May 2021 The meeting has now been rearranged for some time week commencing 19th April 2021 (time and date to be confirmed). I will keep you updated with any developments. In the meantime multi loft training (more than one loft) also remains banned. Ian Evans CEO |

| is it just another case of the rpra being useless, and not standing up for its members ..........is it just the same old saga like the bop problem, where they talk the talk, but do nothing ...? |

| Now come on David.
They have spent thousands of pounds on the BOP problem, had numerous nice meetings with MPs etc; and are in a worse position now than when they started.
You have to give them credit for being consistantly USELESS.

| To cheer matters up.
Just read Russia is on the verge of declaring war on the Ukraine, moved 100, 000 soldiers onto the border zone, moved several warships into the area.
Problem. we are part of the group that is commited to defendimg the Ukraine.
The virus may not be our only problem shortly.
Regards. |
