Trouble is oldstrain if they were in good fettle they should take 130 mile as a joke.

You cannot tell from appearance the pigeons condition nor ability and in particular if they are being given any kind of suppliments etc;

As I said many years ago and many times since, you can have a car that looks immaculate, lift the bonnet, no engine.

i dont quite see it like that ,for so many working back in i would say generally they were in good order otherwise they would not be returning like they are ...is what it is and just happy to see our 2 at the end of the day ,392 back now 150 have returned this morning

I tend to go with your way of thinking etc Misty I'm We had a race here last weekend for young birds heading towards Tasmania into a strong head wind over 150 odd miles of ocean & a 100 miles of land & the best made it home on the day there, fortunately. So when one has a 100 odd mile race over land, with the best doing 1200 odd on a beautiful type day & only roughly a third home on the day. In the end something is sadly wrong in paradise I suggest, maybe. Especially come 24 hours after the first birds were clocked yesterday & you may just have half home if your lucky. End of the day one can simply keep kicking the can down the road as such but if you keep making the same mistakes every year one doesn't really achieve all that much in the end in a pigeon sense I suggest . & take care.

over 200 ybs worked in today...fair play to um ,some must have flown best part of the day eh,if only pigeons could talk

Me thinks many somehow maybe have etc Misty I'm   with still 300 odd still missing after the 2nd day here type of thing from a 100 miles Now     I know some like to be kind here     But, really speaking     a thousand pigeons have now disappeared       apparently, that were once class mates of our two little champs as such     & we are expected to believe somehow, that it's just exceptable & normal by certain peoples standards in a pigeon sense    .   & take care.
