Nice old photograph David.

Shows how popular it  was then as now.

Front not changed  all that much.

 Grand Hotel in trouble this year ( large building far end of photograph) complaints regarding cleanliness etc;

Been dancing  there numerous times, would not like the job of looking after it.

Think if those on the beach could see the mess we have made of things since, litter of every kind, no respect for
anything they would be dismayed.

Even away from the beach,

Rubbish bins within yards and yet rubbish all over the place.

Humans, ashamed to be one.

Animals could teach the present lot a thing  or two.

Regards.

Same Knackered.

When had loft on Olivers Mount could see the pigeons flying over the sea for hours, for shear enjoyment
not minutes but often several hours.

Unfortunately, too far away for bikini watching, but still did my fair share when the opportunity arose.

Nothing better than seeing our feathered friends enjoying life to the full, would never entertain the likes
of Widowhood etc;.

Think we are realy well blessed here for any kids or grown ups interested in sports etc;

Can be fly, course or sea fishing within minutes.

Bowls, snooker, dancing, shows, football, cricket, etc; all have clubs one can join or take part in.

Countryside, second to none, all free to be enjoyed, one problem all the animals
appear to have emigrated as has most of our birds.

Would not want to live elsewhere.

Have given up Qura, was receiving over 50, 60 questions a day, blocking my
e mail.

Want a laugh David, just put  Albert Rosbottom Quara.

They thought I was telling fibs, but found out  differently, I do not tell fibs.

Questions from all over the world, from pathetic to humourous but was interesting.

Just scroll down for all the questions and replies.

Do not think you would be banned, David,  as long as you  give an honest opinion.

Can have some very good exchanges with people from all over the world.

Think I answered a few thousand questions and got a lot of satisfaction when they were voted up and never got one voted down.

But they became too think and fast and clogged up my e mail.

They still send the odd  one every day but not on the e mail, just as an informer in the corner of the screen.

Pity you could not see the questions  and answers, some very interesting and amusing ones.

Cannot understand why you cannot see them.

Think it is a means of getting you hooked David.

How I got on I know not.

Just appeared on my e.mail and started sending questions.

Enjoyed it though.

Thought I was fictitious with my profile and not claiming a lot of fictitious degrees etc; as I am sure some do.

Just told the truth, always pays in the end.

Asked a computer friend how I got on it and he said I must have pressed a  button unintentionally.

I am hopeless on this machine, although I can get help it just does not sink in.

I am on Facebook but have never used it.

Happy at the moment annoying our happy bunch of wanderers on here.

Was on another pigeon site, a lot  of back scratchers, did not like the truth,

Most using anything but their own names and could not spell truth never mind practice it.

Never did anything wrong but they made it that you had to have a loft site and be a RPRA member and member of a club, they knew I had  resigned from racing and could not meet the requirements.

They obviously did not know you cannot change rules to the detriment of an existing member, but then, they know very little.

Regards.

Was a MEMBER Daz.

Posted several times.

The likes of John Staddon and those of the same ilk did not like the truth, he condemned what I suggested to improve the sport, said all the Southern fanciers were fed up with my continued opinions on the improvement of the sport, still have his letter suggesting I shut up and just enjoy the sport.

Can see why he was happy the way things are, yet ANOTHER auction, grinning in the BHW, no doubt counting how he would spend proceeds.

At the time  I was corresponding with John Clement, Harambee, Capt Cutcliffe etc; all better fanciers and in times when he would not have competed, nor did he, all Southerners.

Must say I shut him up good and proper.

IN MY OPINION it is fanciers like him with their backsides up the wrong channels that have stopped any progress in the sport as self satisfied and selfish individuals.

Regards.

Yes  David, some very good pigeon fanciers on the site.

Know some and in fact some friends.

Trouble is the wrong uns who anything goes as long as they are not affected.

Think I may be being a little un Christian we all have faults.

Before I got the lap top I used the library computer and then I lost my e mail pass word and the one to get into the site.

I had just got some e mails from my long term friend Mike on His Hill including some past articles to blow up and print, lost them all, cannot remember whch e.mail site I was on then.

Think I used FOXTROT on the site but have no idea what the e mail was, know I just could not get onto it.

Had a look at the site and could possibly get on if I could remember my password and name I used.

When looking for the site I came across a heading on one site rosbottoms letter have no idea which one.

The thing that bugs me the sport could be in a far, far' better state if the right people had been involved in running it.

Regards.
