thats what i was saying the other night rene, not many "fanciers" want to pay for them returning if lost......they expect the finder to keep what is usually their rubbish. and then we wonder why so many are lost and never heard of again.......

should be ashamed of himself for saying that he should of thanked you for giving it another chance to get home.i had a bird reported last year in south end,i asked the guy if he would feed it for a day or two then let it up somewhere.he did that and it got back.if it had stayed there i would have paid to get it back as thats what we should do even if we dont want the bird. after that its up to us what we do with them.

My opinion , a stray pigeon need to go to heaven. Some people do not appreciate other people's kindness.

Rene, I live in pembrokeshire south west wales, the Irish boys fly from here and in fact there is a lib point..talbeny..5 miles from me and we have more irish strays in than anyone ees in the country. Needless to say there have been some brilliant pigeons flown here that camr from Ireland. Even when I was a kid we used to ask fanciers for Irish strays and many have formed a race team from just them, as they fly here on route to Ireland and make good broken birds. However to my point, I have reported hundreds of Irish strays going back to 1981 and have never heared ever of a fancier wanting them back even if they were once champions. If you like it keep it and fly it , as it might just turn out a good one..
