| Just read a letter in the BHW regading vets visiting lofts and the possible consequences to fanciers.
Cannort understand how it would work.
Would the vet have to handle and test every pigeon.
Knowing how free vets are with the pen and the bill just what would the costs be to fanciers like the peel bros who enjoy having and testing a big team?.
I cannot remember a case being recorded of late.
As the writer said the writing could be on the wall for the sport South Road racing.
North Road may be the answer but some could not get real distance racing in.
Think the RPRA are not on the ball.
Regards. |

Regards. Just read the same letter, this is getting past a joke now The EU calling all the shots just pathetic, something needs to be done but like we all know NOTHING WILL BE RPRA need to pull there socks up and help the distance fanciers, the ones who live for that one longest race off the season |

| we left the EU did we not, why are we taking notice of what they say ........yes we are still part of europe but the uk is an independent country with its own rules and laws .
the whole pigeon racing thing is getting out of hand now , the pigeon fancier is jumping through hoops what with vaccinations and avain flue etc, the RPRA work for the members and should act as such ....... |

| What beats me is why we do not impose similar restrictions on imported pigeons from the EU.
It appears all one sided.

| our government and the rpra to blame i reckon misty , who else .......
also it will get to the stage were a vet will have to vaccinate our pigeons, not our selves ........its like everything else, all about control . |

| Apparently if one pigeon in a loft was found to be infected every pigeon in the loft would be culled.
Could be a disater for fanciers and studs.
Just consider if one of the Massarella studs pigeon contracted it.
What I cannot understand it has been around for well over 100 years with no apparent problem to our sport, how is it now a problem?.
