DVLA Database down .

got told the dvla database is showing all cars un insured ......typed in mine, my daughters and the next door neighbours and they are showing as un insured when they are ......not the end of the world but could cause problems if plod is behind you and checks your details .

i`ll check again in the morning before i go out .....

Disgraceful type situation David standard for the day now thou I'm Suppose some low clerk type hiding in a dark corner somewhere will eventually take the blame I suspect .

every car in the uk is showing as un insured ........probably a scam by government to see how many people dare not drive .

Technology only any good when it works, stops working and causes far more problems than basic logic.

But think it matters not, our police force too busy protecting the WOKE idiots and assisting shop lifters out with their stolen goods.

My clutch gone again awaiting AA to take it to friends garage, something not right with the car, never had problem like this with any other, considering wether to m change it, but with health problems maybe not a good idea.

clutch gone again misty ..? have you had it replaced recently, if so something tells me its not been done properly or the new parts are faulty ......

Had new one not all that long ago David.

Driven for about 70 years, never had a problem.

Did notice hand brake needed real hard pull to hold on a incline you are possibly right about riding the clutch in those circumstances.

Also do numerous short trips.

These things are sent to try us.

Maybe get a push bike.

i remember years ago misty, my first car was a vauxhall viva H reg, i worked for leeds city council at the time, and weekends were my time for doing things on the car, removing the gearbox and renewing the clutch was a job i`d get done over the weekend, ready for work on monday ...........over 40 years later i can still run through the procedure in my head of how to do it , i think it did it more than once too as clutches didnt seem to last as long in those days .

i had it for years george, viva hb 2 door ....... sold it to someone who i knew locally and they gave me a deposit, they couldnt pay the rest so brought it back, needless to say i kept the deposit

wish i still had it now they are making decent money, but then again when i thinik of the cars i had over the years some of them are worth silly money nowadays , people are going mad for classic cars .
