Found myself that irrespective of any other consideration a HAPPY and Contented loft of pigeons will perform to their best, seen about every possible example during my time of housing and feeding to that end.

Regards.

Many of us have I suggest Misty Smile Smile that being said thou Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes been a great believer down here bounce bounce in showing respect to my neighbours type of thing in having respectable built type lofts etc & especially seeing they look out over them every day down here, living on a mountain side. Not for everyone
Smile Smile as we know Wink Wink but today isn't yesterday so to speak I suggest & many neighbours now & also local councils in general have no love affair with pigeons (flying rat's syndrome) on the whole these days sadly on average I found. cheers

My situation exactly knackered, being on a hillside and towering over my immediate neighbours, try my best to keep things tidy, don't want the local council involved in a bun fight.

Early days most fanciers had their pigeons on the allotments or spare land.

In my area there was a place called Stomach Hill where fanciers and my first competative loft was, not an allotment but spare land and no one complained about it's use.

Prior to that my school days loft was in the garden hand made from anything I could lay my hands on but looking good from outside covered in belting from the pit worn out conveyors.

Never had any real trouble with neighbours, live and let live at the time.

Never had any complaints of real concern over the pigeons.

Of course one must take note of the effect the look of the loft may have on neighbours, some lofts better than the houses of many.

Sad fact , lofts got better pigeons health gone down the drain.

Regards.
