Just basic common sense.
If you have to keep changing and updating the basics you have just got things wrong from the start.

| George, most things pigeon wise are to suit the fancier, the pigeon does not have a say, why do you think in some posh lofts the pigeons choose other than that the fancier thinks is best, any nook or cranny they can get into.
Given a choice they would choose other than what the fancier thinks.

| Can remember as a kid George using orange boxes in numerous ways.
Do not think I ever had unhappy animals George never worried about what others thought, just thought about what I could do to keep as near to nature as possible
But in your case George if the loft is dry I would just bang together a few nest boxes from anything you can lay your hands on do not need to be posh, will not make one iota of difference to the young bred in them.

| ive plenty of pairs who prefer to lay on the loft floor, they rear decent ybs too ..... personally i dont like it but if they are happy i leave them to it . |

it was a small absorbent type of stone david i am not sure who made it but was good stuff but to be honest wood chips are just as good i used the ones sold in jollyes for reptiles |

| have 10 birds which if did escape would not matter so took corridor down back to 10x6ft loft all jobs are hard work now |
