hi malcolm, glad to hear youve managed to get them away and all home.......ive stopped training mine as im having health problems with them so with only a couple of trainers last week might not be able to jump them in if i miss the first two newarks 56 miles, birds off colour seem very hard to treat so if no change by weekend ill have to send droppings off for testing.

| do you think droping test is worth the money .they just test for worms ,cocci ,and canker.unles you ask for more detailed test involving salmonela ,paratyphoed exetra .then it cost a lot more.Only saying this as my son is a vet .i would treat with Gamba-Tabs R Then if no improvment i would go to local vet.still be cheaper.only my opinian

thanks for the info malcolm, didnt know that.............i have the treatments for canker and cocci which is a flock treatment in the water, my local vet sadly doesnt know anything about pigeons so apart from treating blind or reading advise from our members there seems vey little else i can do..........what do these gamba-tabs r treat ?

they treat for canker/cocci/worms.so every thing the standard droping test looks for it is a one tablet per bird 1hour before feed very quick working .if they dont do the trick then you have one of the other problems.i dont beleive the vet dose not know.they are trained to a very high standard before they are let loose beleave me i know from when my son was learning so give him a chance .if he dont know he will ask advice from a avian vet . so dont condem too quickly .all the best hope you get to the bottom of.it

thanks malcolm, i have some tkk tablets which i think are for the prevention of canker and cocci.....but am not sure if they are also a cure? and as you say if its not the normal run of the mill illnesses it could be something more serious like salmonella, parra etc which i think would be a major problem and may result in kulling rather than treating which may be best in the long run.....?
