Hi all, I'm in Newcastle upon Tyne. I work in a vets and had a pigeon brought in last week. It had been hanging around a school looking lost for a few days. Its not ringed but is clearly a fancy pigeon. Its brown and white with long leg feathers and a capuchine neck (I have a picture but cant work out how to uplaod it). It is not injured and eating well but we dont want to release it incase its unable to fend for itself. I cant find anyone with an aviary to take it and was wondeing if anyone has any advice? If I could find a keen pigeon fancier in the north east that would like to take it that would be great.
Thank you!

Thanks for all the offers guys. I work for a charity vets so we dont have the space or funds to keep strays but I never want to see them put to sleep. I'm sure the pigeon would be happy with anyone from this forum and he would be a lovely addition to anyones collection. Ideally I would love someone to pick him up from the vets as Im 7 months pregnant and havnt got the transport to deliver him at the moment. Thanks, caroline
