| has any members got any tips on how to repair a cracked egg, i remember martyn having one last year and he repaired it..............
any thoughts anyone.....? |

| try clear tape david just over the crack but if the inside skin is broken its no good |

| Yes thats right david, I just stuck a bit of masking tape over it, and it hatched ok. |

| yes good tip ian, and like you say if the iside membrane is punctured its no good..... |

| How did it crack david, I did mine last year by accident, Was it because of those combi ring lugs??? |

i havnt got one cracked martyn, i was talikng to a fancier earlier who this has happened to and just remembered we had discussed it last year when it happened to one of yours...... but thinking about what you have said, its made me wonder now........ |

| use to keep canaries david. if we had a small crack we put on some clear nail varnish. never told the wife about it. just as IAN says if its deeper no use |

| do you think a cracked egg has any effect on the yb inside and would the yb be a weakling etc...? |

| i once helped a yb out of its shell, it never made a decent bird and i think we ended up killing it before it was even weaned............people on site did advise me they would never help a yb out of its shell as if it wasnt strong enough to do it its self it was no good anyway.... |
