| cheers , don and ian , because we have some novices on here can we start a thread on tips . i will start , the water i give my birds i always let it stand 24hrs |

| Good one...mine is clean the perches every evening and clock where the birds sit, first thing in the morning see what they are like, this way you spot birds on form and others that may go sick. |

| hi chris , its for every ones benefit we can all learn some thing new . another one for w/hood flyers take your best cock out of his box on a fri night and put in a different cock in with his hen then let the cock back in but dont let him in the box let him hang on the front of his box seeing the other cock in his box with his hen then basket him up for the club , works every time . |

| i got told to do this years ago , i think its a big factor on yb sickness different areas have different tasting water ive never had any probs with watery droppings or things like that . |

| after treatment always give them nystan or mycostatin for any secondary infection , take out all grit and minerals when treating , then use probiotic , yoghurt(yakult ) either on corn or in water to put the natural bacteria back into them, |

Spot on there Martyn There are 2 water supplyers South Staffs Water and Severn Trent Water South Staffs Water is very harder and Severn Trent Water is a lot softer, mthe reason i know is because my old house was South Staffs and the new house is South Staffs loads better |

| On basket night put widowhood cocks in basket leave basket in the loft with loft door open

| Kev I really like that one mate, I use vicks for me and my son we both have asthma so it helps at night, put it on the pillow, I will be putting that on a rag in my loft this year, thats excellant never thought of that. |
