| having joined a club in january and told the secretary that i have never raced pigeons before, i have handed over my loft number and membership monies and contact details . as of tonight i have had no corespondance of what i need to do to race pigeons, no details aboat the race program, i had to get that of the federation web site, no distances worked out, race rules or anything. its the clubs/feds 1st old bird race tomorrow and i could of turned up with a basket full of pigeons and not a clue. what a complete joke, or am i expected to find out the details myself ?? and people wonder why the sport is in decline, talk aboat leaving the sport, i cannot get help from the club to get started.
am i whinging or is this the norm ???? |

| your right chris no wonder the sport is in decline we are our own worst enemies we all talk about how theres no new blood coming into the sport yet sit back and do nothing to help matters , when we try to better the sport with the likes of ets people dont like it , you must move forward to progress , how can you attract more members when a lot of people dont even know the sport exists ,they think its all cloth caps and whippets they have no idea whats involved, i dont think your winging over nothing if it was me i would take a basket of pigeons and see what they do , i would go off my lid , they sharp took your money |

| i only got to know what the race program was a week before the first race, our club meetings in the closed season are an absolute waste of time as they cant wait to get it over with to get down the road to the working mens club.............half the members who attended didnt even know the meeting had finished, and it seems like more is discussed regarding whats going on in the club at the pub, rather than the club meetings.......
in my opinion the cub im in is shite and when ive had a few races with them this season hopefully i will be resigning............waste of time. |

| Hi Chris,
Sorry to hear about the situation, it looks like the club is a complete waste of time
Chris if i was you mate i would take that basket of pigeons and when it's your turn to be marked, turn to the sec of the club and say now how the FXXX do i get theses pigeons to a race with the money i have paid to join this SXXX club
Then you will see a few faces turn red and then start to treat you with the respect you deserve mate
Chris if i can help you out just drop me a line and i will do my best to help you out mate no worries |

your right there david, they took my money but not even had the desency to let me know if i am a member. with this in mind i have drafted a letter to the secretary this morning letting him know of my resignation, just in case i am a member and he's forgot to tell me. i also put in the letter that i would send a copy to the secretay of the ferderation and the RPRA offices. club-less, chris perry, lol |

| copy of letter to secretary
having seen your advert in the BHW for members i was pleased to join your club, initialy i contacted yourself and was told to attend a meeting, of which i did and as such you was given my contact details and loft number along with my membership fees, i also informed you that i was acomplete novice and never raced pigeons before, with this information i felt that it was your duty as a secretary to inform me with all the information needed to complete in the club, as of 15/4/11 i have not had any correspondance from yourself not even a race plan this i had to get off the federation web site. With this in mind i could of turned up friday 15/4/11 with a basket full of pigeons and not a clue what to do, to the extent that i could of been sent home with my birds still in the basket for breaking federation and club rules. With this in mind i feel that this is not a very good way to encorage new members let alone run a club, it is of no wonder the sport is in decline if this is how new members are treated, and as such am writing this letter to advise you of my resignation just in case i am a member and you have failed to inform me of the status of my membership. i am so anoyed with the way i have been treated a copy of this letter will be forwarded onto the federation secretary and the local rpra secretary.
WONDER IF THIS WILL RAISE A FEW EYE-BROWS IN THE CLUB |
