Was watching the programme today, animals do the funniest things and some pigeon fancier from Liverpool was on, he sent a pigeon to a race in france, about 350 miles to liverpool, the pigeon took a wrong turn, got hit by a hawk, landed on a ship, left the ship when it stopped at new york, and got in with a bunch of pigeons by a new york fancier and ended up in his loft, the new york fancier reported the pigeon and british airways flew it back to liverpool, the bloke was over the moon to have his bird back, he compared the bird to one of his kids, wouldnt go that far but just shows how with pigeons, once hooked its hard to let go.

i heard that story before paul it was on the tele,very good though

i saw it paul, came home on an earoplane didnt it..........wonder why the american fancier didnt keep it as it would have cosrt more than the bird was worth to get it home.......
