PostSubject: the use of bleach   Sat Jun 04, 2011 3:33 pm

just bringing this topic back to the top as i got shot down by certain members about this , bhw this week quote bert braspenning

i further sour the water with apple cider vinegar a bottle capful to 2 litres, and if i dont use cider vinegar one week i use teaspoon of bleach to 2 litres of drinking water instead,i dont think my youngbirds will get ecoli for a while, iget in a very bad mood when the pigeons sit dully with no appetite enormous thirst food not digested , watery droppings , usually the problem is resolved in five days

THERE IS ANOTHER ARTICAL ON PAGE 80 OF THE BHW JUST TO SAY EACH TO THERE OWN THIS GUY JUST STARVES UM FOR A FEW DAYS JUST GIVES VITS AND ELECTROLIGHTS IT APPEARS MORE AND MORE THAT IT IS ASLO BEST NOT TO SEPERATE THE Y/B AS THIS ADDS TO THE STRESS WHEN ALL SAID AND DONE
EACH ARTICAL IS FOR ALL TO READ YOU SHOULDNT BRING THEM DOWN EVEN IF YOU DISOGREE AS WE ARE ALL OUR OWN MANEGERS

I know a fancier here that never offers "plain" water. If he doesn have vitamins, apple cider vinegar, garlic, or rarely if ever medicine. Then he adds bleach to the waterers. He seems to do well in longer races or early young bird races, either way he always has a few in the top 10.

scratch Think weve had this conversation before, and I stated I would never think of giving bleach in the water to me its poison, But as a firm follower of mr brasspenings and haveing many of his birds, his words are gospel to me , so I must confesss that his article this week staggered me a bit, and I might have too admit there might just be something in it... Question He is a champion and wouldnt have got to the top if it was harmful... scratch

yes mate even the masters dont reviel all till years later but as i said earlier another guy in the bhw gives nothing just starves um
the way forward is to take what you want use it or dont you are the owner
and its nice to see a good reply and not knock what others do if it works for them and they gain many wins then thats the way they do it

PS it also shocked me but b/braspening is a master
at the end of the day its your choice

Although I might admit that it isnt that toxic to the birds after all, and that it might just help keep them in good health, I doupt very much if it will put you 1 second ahead let alone 15 mins...so its not really a secret.

G you look at my coments about Y/B Sickness and a fancier i know had it and he did the same starved his birds but only put Bio Yogurt in the water

By starving them you kill the bactiria within the gut because it has nothing to feed on

But as we know with this sport there are a million and one things which works for one but not another
