Really small - fits into the palm of my hand, doesn't want to fly (haven't seen him try) & was in danger of being attacked by a neighbours cat so I took him in - got him tucked up safely with water and sunflower seeds but he doesn't touch the food. Any advice on "baby food" appreciated.
We don't want to keep him - we have enough agro from our hens! so any advice on rehoming / releasing would be great - our first (only!) thought was to ask the local vet if they know anyone who keeps doves.

hi, if its a wild dove i dont think theres a lot you can do for it............i suppose you could use a syringe and put water/milk down its beak, but i wouldnt think it would do much good.
maybe someone else could give better advise.

definitely a fancy bird - just about pure white
he's perked up now and nibbling some seeds so i think he'll survive - just need to find him a new home before er indoors gets so broody that she won't let him go!
