my young lad wanted norwich croppers, but one of the guys at our club advised him against croppers/poulters...says they arent for beginners,as they can suffer easily from sour crop, and need to be fed on their own all the time. Modenas are great birds,i have 3 prs of them.

atm none of my birds are allowed out...had some illness brought in by the pr of nuns that i got,but hopefully birds on the up. but prior to that i only had the fantails and muff rollers out,the modenas just get out into the avairy,to many hawks around here, and the modenas arent the most nimble of birds..lol but maybe once they are back on par,i will let them out for a fly about.

you will see plenty of brunner pigeons at blackpool this year maybe some for sale too.like most fancy breeds what you must do is get a stock from different people, that way you can make your own family and you will then know how inbred they are.ihave my horseman, norwich croppers from different people and only using 3 or 4 pairs to breed from.too much inbreeding will cause defects in the birds but hey all fancy pigeons are genetically defected anyway lol.
